Shadow Shot Sunday – Seagulls

Thanks to my friend, Jan, over at Jan’s Sushi Bar, I’ve decided to give this here posting every day thing a try, y’all. It’s called NaBloPoMo,and I can’t believe how long it just took me to write that. Stands for “National Blog Posting Month”. You post something every day for a month.

It’s ridiculously hard ….damn near impossible….a monumental task on the weekends..the biggest challenge of my life at this point.

These seagulls were flying around Johhny Mercer’s Pier in Wrightsville Beach the last time we were there. We were strolling on the pier after having hot dogs and trying no to scream because all Dani was doing the whole time was texting enjoying the beautiful summer day.

I am choosing this for Shadow Shot Sunday, because, well, it’s an easy post and it’s the weekend, y’all.

Shadow Shot Sunday logo1Shadow Shot Sunday is a cool idea for a meme that has folks posting photos of shadows, and then linking back to Hey Harriet’s blog so everyone can visit each others pictures. Check out the other participators and post one yourself.

  1. Nice shot—keep up the good work, and good luck to your posting every day. I won’t even try it, not even for a week, but I know it can be done. However, we—you and I, provided that Texas qualifies one as a southerner—have a fellow southerner that blogs every day, and I find his work interesting, informative, and hilarious—never dull. His motto is “A funny every day,” and a visit to his blog will prove the motto true.

I don’t even try to keep up with him—I just check in periodically and play catch-up. You might like to check it out at You’ll need to give it a bit of time to load—oh, and there’s no spam involved here—it’s all legitimate, all in the spirit of one blogger to another.

  2. I forgot to mention that the blogger that posts “A funny every day” also lives in North Carolina. This blurb is from his About Me section:

“I am a fifty-something guy originally from Florida but living for the past several decades in a suburb of Charlotte, NC. I used to write a humor column for my college (FSU) newspaper and decided recently to try it again, except in blog format. I’m now posting something new every day. Let me know if you like it.”
