This has, overnight, become my favorite mixed drink. It is absolutely the most refreshing and dreamy thing I’ve ever tasted, y’all. It has an ingredient in it that I’d never heard of, called Domaine de Canton. This stuff is fabulous. As you can see in my photo above, my bottle is already half empty! Domaine de Canton is an infusion of handpicked baby ginger, Tahitian vanilla, Provencal orange blossom honey and sugarcane blended with VSOP Cognac.
It’s thirty dollars a bottle, y’all, and worth every penny!
I’ve never actually posted a recipe. I did post a poem about how to make collard greens, but I’m not sure that counts. But this drink concoction is so good, so unusual and so perfect for summer – I just knew I had to share.
Here are the ingredients:
2 shots of Domaine de Canton
1 shot white Rum
Fresh Mint
Lime wedges and lemon wedges
Gingerale (I used the new “Green Tea Gingerale”)
Directions:
Muddle the mint with one lemon and one lime wedge. Combine all the ingredients is a shaker, shake, and serve chilled in a tall glass filled with ice. Top with gingerale and gently stir. Garnish with mint sprigs, lemon and lime slices.
Try it, you know you want to.
Yes, I DO want to try it. Heck, I’d like to bathe in it.
Tony loves mojitos. Me, not so much. Maybe I just had a bad one?
I’m not up for the $30 a bottle thing. LOL! But I would like to try one of those. I always wondered what a mojito was made with.
Mojitos with ginger? OMG that sounds good!
